Our Story

Rivky, a Kallah teacher, a nurse, a midwife, and a community educator, and Sara, a certified teacher, and school administrator have been living in two separate countries, running two very separate lives. They are both in the stage of raising young families (collectively raising 11 children Ka”h) all the while focusing on their own self-growth as individuals, wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, and community members. Whenever they met over the years, they always found plenty to connect on, and the ‘Bodies and Souls’ project is what really brought Rivky and Sara together.

Rivky and Sara initially met one another while attending the same High School, and when they became first cousins through marriage, they spent even more time together through family get-togethers and Simchas. Yet it was the shared passion for health, both spiritual and physical, as well as education in all areas of their lives, that made the duo come together to create this fabulous project, realizing that two are stronger than one, and joining together would create an indomitable force.

Meet Sara Loewenthal

Sara is an educator - was born one, and finds true satisfaction in her field; she would never step foot out of education. She has worked in the field of education for over 18 years in various capacities, and she defines herself through it; it is who she is and what she lives, breathes, and sleeps. Her biggest joy is combining Torah + pedagogy, specifically Chassidus, and sharing it with others in a practical and down to earth manner. Sara delivers a weekly ‘Parsha plus Chassidus’ Shiur via zoom to women, and has developed and presented a roster of early childhood teacher training workshops and seminars to dozens of schools.

Meet Rivky Boyarksy

Rivky is known for her unique contribution to the field of Kallah education, as she is able to merge her health science background and her Torah knowledge and Hashkafa. She is known far and wide as a sensitive health care practitioner, one well versed in Halachah, and intimately familiar with the various Poskim who Pasken on Taharas HaMishpacha and fertility questions. Rivky is involved in many of the most challenging and complex Taharas HaMishpacha cases and is known to be an outspoken champion of women’s health. Rivky has put together community education workshops on topics ranging from having “the conversation” with your children, to women’s roles in Judaism. Some of her classes can be found through the Mikvah.org podcast and website. She is currently working on a worldwide comprehensive Bayis HaYehudi curriculum for grades 7-12, and a book she promises will revolutionize our growth and development.

The Idea

The idea of ‘Bodies and Souls’ as a spiritual and physical health and wellness platform for the Frum woman was born from both Sara and Rivky; merging from a shared passion for helping others and empowering their fellow friends and women with information. ‘Bodies and Souls’ is intended to be a resource in which the Frum woman, no matter her age and stage can turn for expert advice and awareness. ‘Bodies and Souls’ does not take the place of medical or spiritual advice, but through recognition of specific health challenges (be it mental, emotional, spiritual, physical, social, etc.), women may feel less alone and more supported both in their struggles and as they transverse through life’s milestones.

Both Rivky and Sara speak extensively on their respective passions (Sara on Chassidus and early childhood; Rivky on Taharas HaMisphachah, and Health and Women in Judaism); there is no better combination than ‘Rivky and Sara’ when putting together this wellness platform for Frum women! The goal of this project is for our friends, our neighbors, our sisters, and our community members to feel more empowered as they access knowledge and wisdom. This will help them become their own advocate and access the services that will help them navigate life as Ovdei Hashem.
